|
Hayom Yom was written by the Lubavitcher Rebbe in 5703 (1942-43). In this box we have listed the Torah Lessons for this year. The Torah Lessons below in the text are as they were in the original edition. | ||||

Tuesday Adar Sheini 9 * 5703 Torah Lessons
(5703)Chumash: Vayikra, Shlishi with Rashi.
Tehillim: 49-54.
Tanya: For this purpose (p. 165)...of blessed memory. (p. 165).In the B'racha Borei Nefashot (p. 95), say Al Kol Ma Shebarata, "Kol" with a Cholam, not a Kamatz.
The intense longing to be bound closely [1] (to a Rebbe) can be satisfied only by learning Maamarim of Chassidus which the Rebbe delivers as oral discourses and writes down; simply seeing him [2] is not enough.

Notes:
* On this day, in 5700 (1940), the Previous Rebbe o.b.m. arrived in the U.S.A.
"The day marks the essential beginning of the `dissemination of the wellsprings (of chassidus) to the outside' in this lower hemisphere"; a quotation - according to the memory of a listener - from the Rebbe Sh'lita, from a Sicha of Shabbat Parshat Tetzaveh, 5745 (1985), in which the great significance and import of the day is explained at length.
